Charter Authorizing Panel Meeting 

September 17th

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas Charter Authorizing Panel met for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on September 17th, 2024. The panel works to oversee the "authorization, renewal, revision, and revocation of charters."

In this month's meeting, the panel considered and acted upon the agenda items detailed below.

III.1. Consideration of Somerset Academy Arkansas Open Enrollment Charter School Application Request

The panel approved the Somerset Academy Arkansas application to establish six open-enrollment charter schools beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year. The charter will utilize a traditional and college prep model.  

III.2. Consideration of Real World Preparatory Open Enrollment Charter School Application Request

The Real World Preparatory withdrew its application to establish an open-enrollment charter school beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year. The charter proposed to utilize a traditional and college prep model.
