Rob Gillam
CEO and CIO, McKinley Management
Mr. Robert A. Gillam serves as McKinley Management, LLC’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. Rob has been with the firm since 1994 in roles including sales, portfolio manager, and head of international investments. Rob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a CFA. Rob, his wife, and two sons reside in Anchorage, Alaska where he enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, and wilderness adventures. 
Julie Sande
Commissioner of Commerce and Economic Development
A lifelong Alaskan, Commissioner Sande brings extensive experience in both the public and private sectors and is focused on building stronger, more resilient communities. Most recently, Sande served as the Director of the Ketchikan Pioneer Home and as a member of the governing board for the local hospital in Ketchikan. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Montana and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Southern California. She was appointed to the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority board and the Alaska Energy Authority board in 2019 and elected Vice Chairman in 2021
Sheba Person-Whitley (pending)
EDA Seattle Regional Office, Director
Person-Whitley joined EDA with extensive experience in economic development in California, Louisiana, and North Carolina. Sheba received a bachelor's degree in Communications from NC State University and a master’s from Southern New Hampshire University in Operations and Project Management. Sheba is a member of California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED), International Economic Development Council (IEDC), Project Management Institute (PMI), Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee (TPCC). Sheba and her husband, Rameke, reside in Northern California with their two children, Kamryn and Charles.
Anthony Mallott
CEO, Sealaska Corporation
Anthony guides the investment decisions that directly impact Sealaska’s people, communities, and the natural environment, all while focusing on increasing profits and benefits for shareholders. He is also a passionate advocate for community and works closely with organizations and partners throughout the region to bring people together for the benefit of all Southeast Alaska. He is Tlingit, Eagle, Tsaagweidí (Killerwhale) Clan, as well as Koyukon Athabascan, Caribou Clan. His Tlingit name is Gunnuk'.

Since 1992, Southeast Conference has partnered with UAS to offer a scholarship program that supports residents of the region. Scholarship funds have been raised through an auction that is generously supported by individuals and businesses throughout Southeast and conducted each year at the Annual Membership Meeting. Community and Business of the Year Nominations
Are you aware of a business or community in the region that did something amazing over this last year? Tell us about it! Simply fill out the appropriate nomination form (linked below) and tells us why you think they deserve recognition. Community of the Year and Business of the Year awards will be given out during the banquet at Southeast Conference's upcoming Annual Meeting. Nominations must be received no later then August 31, 2022.

Alaska's Round 2 CARES Act Relief Available!
Applicants will have until October 31st, 2022 to postmark their applications for return. Please note, applicants will need to know their Round 1 relief amounts in order to apply for Round 2 funds. For more information regarding Alaska’s Round 1 or Round 2 spend plans, please contact the ADF&G.  Please, if not already doing so, continue to monitor our website for updates. This will be our primary source for publicizing information and updates.

Alaska DOTF issues Pre-Notice call for community-based transportation projects In preparation for this fall’s call for projects to update the State Transportation Improvement Plan, Alaska DOT is advising communities to begin identifying projects for funding.
