Hello Chatham Borough!
Fall 2016 ----6 th Edition
The hot and dry summer has come and gone. It is now time to turn our attention to the fall.  Before you know it, the leaves will start falling and the temperature will turn cooler.

Let us remind you that the Borough will start curbside collection of the leaves beginning October 24 th.  Check the Chatham Borough website on or after October 1 st for details of the leaf collection schedule and any changes to the Mulch Site hours of operation.

The Planning Board is in the process of updating its Master Plan. The Board will discuss the draft Master Plan Reexamination at its September 21 st meeting, and will consider it at meetings later this fall, with anticipated adoption by the end of this year.

Chatham Borough joined a group of 15 municipalities which have come together to fight the crude oil pipeline being proposed by Pilgrim Pipeline Holdings, LLC.  The group officially formed the Municipal Pipeline Group ("MPG") on September 6 th and announced its alliance.  MPG  will protect our interests if and when Pilgrim Pipeline applies for permits.

Chatham Borough Police Department in its latest crime bulletin has suggestions for protecting yourself from becoming a victim of crime.  To see the full bulletin click "Crime Bulletin 2016".   Please use common sense and take precautions.

Most, if not all of you, receive annoying robo-calls several times a day, often at meal times. You may not be aware that there is an easy remedy to block these calls using Verizon's Fios or Cablevision's Optimum as the phone service provider. Click on Nomorobo for steps to follow to stop these calls. Granted, this does not cut them off completely, in that you get just one ring but it is certainly far better then having to answer the calls.

Please note that back issues of the newsletter are available on line.
