Calling All Cheboyganites...

On February 12th, the Cheboygan DDA, City Officials, Cheboygan's Michigan Main Street Committee, the Chamber of Commerce and many business owners and volunteers will be giving a presentation to the MEDC's Michigan Main Street Community Selection Committee.  As a part of this presentation, we will be filming a video on Main Street, in beautiful downtown Cheboygan on Monday January 28th.  We are encouraging all business owners and citizens to help us create this video, by dressing in brightly colored hats and scarves and meeting at Festival Square at 1:30 pm for instruction from our Director.  This video should take no more than an hour to film, and will highlight our Main Street, and the cooperation between all involved to get to this point!
Hope to see you there!

Bring It Cheboygan Delivers Grocery & Gas Cards to USCGC Mackinaw

On Friday January 18th, Vince Lumetta of Bring It Cheboygan! and Polly Schneider from the Cheboygan Chamber delivered 132 $20 gift cards for Family Fare, and 66 $20 gas cards for Blarney Castle EZ-mart to the crew of the USCGC Mackinaw while they where in port for a short stay.  Since the Bring It Cheboygan group announced that they where collecting donations for the USCG stationed in Cheboygan during the government shut down, donations have been arriving at the Chamber daily.  We have received donations from Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri and everywhere in between from retired Coast Guard, to citizens who just appreciate what the Mackinaw does for Cheboygan and our surrounding waters to local businesses that want to support our Coast Guard families.  The Officers and Crew of the Mackinaw are extremely appreciative of the support they are receiving from the community and want us to express their thanks to all who are involved!
