State of the Community Breakfast October 5.  Tickets on Sale Now.

In case you haven't noticed, there is a lot going on in Cheboygan these days. There are at least one or two new businesses opening each week it feels like. Some buildings are being renovated while others are coming down to make way for the next page of history. There are also numerous groups and organizations that are actively involved in so many different causes and efforts, for the betterment of Cheboygan, that sometimes it is hard to know which one to follow.   The Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce would like to help clear up some of that potential confusion.

On the morning of October 5th 2018, at the Cheboygan Opera House, the Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce will produce its Inaugural State of the Community Breakfast.  The goal of this event is to report the most accurate and up to date information to the community on a variety of topics through key note speakers and a compiled report from many of the organizations doing the economic and community development work.  Click here for more information on topics, speakers presenting and how to attend this event.

Tickets are $10 per person or $15 at the door.  Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Chamber Office or by calling 231-627-7183.  They can also be purchased on line at

We hope to see everyone there at this great inaugural event for our community.

Take Shepler's and Walk the Entire Bridge on Labor Day

Many Changes have been made to the 2018 Labor Day Bridge Walk. The most significant changes are the elimination of shuttle transportation for walkers, the start point of the walk is now in both Mackinaw City and St. Ignace, and to be able to walk the entire bridge walkers must be at midpoint of the bridge by 10am and have their own transportation back to their vehicle. To help those that would like to have the experience of walking the entire bridge, this labor day, Shepler's Ferry is excited to be offering three direct departures that morning. Join them and enjoy a complete walk from peninsula to peninsula...... Click here to view the full press release.
Cheboygan Labor Day Bridge Walk

Bridge Walk is September 3 - 11:50 am... Cheboygan's answer to a Labor Day Bridge Walk begins at the East end of State Street bridge and travels to Festival Square.  A community picnic will be on hand at the conclusion of the walk.

Cheboygan Area Visitors Bureau Welcomes
Old 27 Motor Tour for the 12th Year

For 12 years in a row, the Old 27 Motor Tour has allowed hundreds of classic car enthusiasts to travel the old US 27 route from Coldwater to Cheboygan.   Their slogan is "Back in the Day it was the Way."   On Saturday August 25th the Cheboygan Area Visitors Bureau will once again welcome these road warriors of yesteryear to Cheboygan and help them celebrate the completion of their almost 300 mile journey.   This year in Cheboygan, the tour will set up on the east side of town near Great Lakes Grill starting at about 4pm.  The public is invited to come and check out the vehicles on display, talk to the drivers about their trip and maybe relive their own memories.  Great Lakes Grill will serve as the "headquarters" for the drivers with a hospitality room open for them to relax and listen to classic tunes from a DJ spinning the hits.
