With six state parks, hundreds of miles of freshwater coast, endless hiking trails, hospitable temperatures, and a canopy of tall trees and brilliant stars, it's sure to be a camping trip for the books.

  • Crate and Quill (Abbeville, SC) - Did someone say shopping? Excited to spend a little more time in Crate and Quill browsing the home goods, vintage finds, and books!
  • Magnolia Dale House Museum (Edgefield, SC) - This plantation home from 1843 is open for tours by appointment, an exciting up-close view of the rich history of Edgefield coupled with charming old world architecture of a preserved plantation home.
  • Wyatt Farms (Greenwood, SC) - The Garden Shop at Wyatt Farms is now open for their winter hours Monday-Saturday 11am-4pm, which seems like the perfect opportunity to grab some pretty indoor plants to get us through the winter blues.
  • Rootimentary (Laurens, SC) - This new restaurant opened right on the square in Laurens during the first part of December, and we are ready to taste this famous duck confit and chocolate lava cake for ourselves! We heard that there can be a wait for walk-ins, so we'll definitely be making a reservation soon.
  • Baker Creek State Park (McCormick, SC) - With lots of walking and biking trails, and even some geocaches to hunt for around this state park, it's the perfect spot to get some fresh air during those winter afternoons when you just need to get out for some exercise.
