Hey there, AARCS!

Chilo here! 🐾 You might remember my rescue tail from back in early April. If you missed it, here's a quick recap! Myself and four other feline friends made our way to AARCS after a Canadian Animal Task Force spay/neuter clinic in Southern Alberta. We were all extremely sick. πŸ€’ I remember seeing my friends through my crusty eyes and thinking, boy, they look as rough as I feel. 😿

Over the next few weeks, the AARCS team worked hard to help us feel better, and two of the other kitties and I started to improve! But our other two friends were only getting worse, and the nice veterinarians at the shelter helped them cross the rainbow bridge to find peace. πŸͺ½πŸŒˆ I miss them, but I'm glad they aren't suffering any more. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

It's been more than 50 days since I came to AARCS, and I'm still a patient of the veterinary hospital. πŸ₯ I know there are a lot of animals that need help, so I'm really grateful that the veterinarians here aren't giving up on me and are doing so much to help me get healthy. While I'm feeling better and my upper respiratory infection symptoms have resolved, I'm still dealing with a few things. My eyes are infected and I'm dealing with a condition called Horner's Syndrome that also affects my eyes. I also have some polyps (benign masses) in my ears that are causing persistent infections. πŸ₯²

Thankfully, my friends at the shelter (and they really are my friends, I love when they come to see me) know just how to help. πŸ’š They've been giving me medicine to help with my eyes, πŸ’Š and they got me booked in for a surgery to remove the pesky polyps! I'm a bit scared – surgery is never fun – but I'm so excited to know that I might finally be able to live my life without painful, infected ears.

Okay, now that you're caught up with my story, let's get to why I'm having my human friends write to you on my behalf! ✏️ AARCS is hosting a fundraising lottery right now, but unfortunately it's not doing as well as they hoped. They've done so much to help me, and now I think it's time we all jumped in to help them so they can take care of more furry friends like me! 🐱🐢🐰

Fetch your lottery and 50/50 tickets (Get it? Fetch? Because it's for the animals!) for as low as $10 for one 50/50 ticket! If you buy a bundle you'll get a better deal for even more tickets. 🐾 If you ask me, it's a great way to give back! You get a chance to win, and animals like me get a second chance. πŸ₯°πŸ’°

If you already purchased your lottery tickets, or you're not able to buy any this time around, there's still time for you to help make this fundraiser a roaring success: SHARE THIS EMAIL with your friends, family and coworkers to spread the word! πŸ’Œ

What's the first thing would YOU do with a lottery win?! πŸ’°
Pay off debt
Give back to the animals
Buy a house
Buy a car
Take a vaction
Provide for loved ones
Something else

⏰ Hurry: the lottery closes THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 1 at 11:59pm! ⏰ Don't miss out on your chance to be the next big winner... and my hero!
