Every seat in the house was taken and the mood was electric as the ladies of the backstretch were treated to a night which was held in their honor on Wednesday, March 9th in the Belmont Cafe.

The women, who not only work outdoors under difficult conditions and with challenging hours but also take care of their families and homes, enjoyed food, entertainment, a spiritual message, and a clothing giveaway.

Thank you to everyone who made this evening possible including the members of CenterPoint Church, Shelter Rock Church, the Bridge Church, The National Charity League of Garden City, and the Elmont Key Club.

We are all now particularly appreciative to be able to experience new adventures and enjoy each other's company. Our teens enjoyed outings to rock climbing and events at the UBS arena thanks to our partners the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association, Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation, and Kids in Seats.

The Belmont Rec Hall was brightened with a decorative Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day raffle and display as the participants received both fun and practical prizes as we continue to Share God's Love with those we serve.
