Picture of male student in graduation regalia frolicking in green grass. the box over the picture says "Richmond, Healthcare Management Major" Under that box he shares a quote: "As an honors student, I have had the opportunity to delve deeper into my coursework by connecting what I learn in class to my professional goals. Being able to work with my professors on honors projects has allowed them to provide their expertise and advice for my career post grad and how to bring skills learned in class to any industry. Being an honors student in the School of Business has even introduced me to peers that inspire me everyday to perfect my own leadership style."
Image of student wearing a blazer, jeans, black top and heels in a gazebo. at the top of the image it says "Meet Cassandra!" her majors are Finance and French. She shared a quote: "The best part about being a student in the honors program is being able to surround myself with highly motivated individuals who push me to challenge myself. I lived in honors housing my first two years on campus and met so many great people. It really is a strong community, and one that inspires a sense of commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the people I surrounded myself with who were supportive and encouraging of my endeavors, and never hesitated to share opportunities for involvement."
Orange and blue graphic with a student's name at the top "Taqi Rahman" his major is Business Data Analytics. He answers a question about what was his favorite memory from going abroad: "My favorite memory from being abroad was when we got to explore all over Greece and each place we visited was just as magnificent as the last. Pictures do not do it justice."
Picture of a young women student sitting on a large rock with a brown halter top and jeans. At the top of the picture it says "Meet Yana!" and her major is Healthcare Management with a minor in Political Science. She shares a quote below: "Honors has been a great community for me to be a part of. I really enjoyed living with Honors students in Buckley my freshman year, so I applied for the H2O Learning Community my sophomore year and continued to grow my interests in Honors. I enjoy taking Honors courses with the same friends I live on H2O with. It also pushed me to apply to work for the Honors Office as an Honors Guide for Peer Success."
Orange and blue graphic with a student's name at the top "Elianny Ramirez" below it shares that her major is marketing. She answers a question about what she found most surprising while traveling abroad? "I felt strangely at home; the people and the lifestyle seemed to fit perfectly into my routine. I loved long dinners, walking through the English garden, and the fact that I got the best gnocchi of my life for 8 euros. For me, it solidified my desire to travel the world."

Strategic engagement beyond the classroom is an important part of your development as a student and professional. In addition to offering the opportunity to network, student organizations strengthen leadership skills, teach time management, and are a great way to build friendships.
