The Chamber distributed Swag bags to local small businesses with resources for them for this holiday season. The video above shows just a few of the businesses who received the bags. Nathan Hart joins Chamber board
Nathan Hart is a 3rd generation Colorado native who was born and raised in the Denver area. His Great-Uncle Tommy Hart won a large amount of land in Lakewood from a poker game which became Hart’s Corner. As a 3rd generation entrepreneur and small business owner, Nathan understands the challenges and triumphs of owning and operating a small business.
Honesty, integrity, communication and negotiation skills, and knowledge of the Commerce City community are some of the qualities, skills and experience Nathan brings from his successful 25-year real estate business to the Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, Nathan owned and operated a pet store in Lakewood. Now a 15-year Commerce City resident whose children have both gone off to college, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife, competing in pinball tournaments, skiing, and taking care of his dogs.

Forum gives residents a chance to ask their questions of candidates
The Commerce City Chamber partnered with South Adams County Fire Department and Adams 14 Education Foundation to host the 2023 Commerce City City Council Candidate Forum on Sept. 29. Thank you to everyone who came out to the forum, including 10 of the 13 candidates running for election. We hope that the information provided in this forum and the questionnaire sent to all candidates helped residents make an informed decision when they went to vote.

Repository a hidden gem in Commerce City | |
Thank you to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Education Specialist Taliah Farnsworth for giving the Commerce City Chamber's Leads Group an inside look into the National Eagle and Wildlife Property Repository Oct. 26. We learned so much about the care of deceased eagles and laws pertaining to items prohibited or illegal to bring into the United States. As an added bonus, when our tour was done, we were able to see a herd of bison moving from one pasture to the next. The tour was so popular, we had a full tour group. For those on our waitlist, we will be hosting another trip to the repository sometime early next year. Be on the look out for a future announcement! | | | | |

Chamber celebrates members milestones
At the Commerce City Chamber of Commerce we love to celebrate our members milestones for their business. We created this special gift with some of the dirt from their recent groundbreaking for iGo Realty so they will always remember the Chamber supports their business and celebrates with them on their upcoming new office building. Congratulations again Arlene Castro and your iGo Realty team! We can't wait to celebrate again with you when your new office building opens.
The Commerce City Chamber of Commerce surprised Chamber member Ziggi's Coffee with a special commemorative certificate with a picture and part of the ribbon that was used during their recent ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 1. Congratulations again Tracy and team. We can't wait until your two new Ziggi's Coffee locations open up in Commerce City.

The Commerce City Chamber had a lot of fun handing out candy at the Adams City High School Trick or Treat Street last night. It was good to see so many families, chamber members and other community organizations out at this annual community event.

Check out the Chamber wreath at Reunion Coffee House
The Commerce City Chamber loves to support our members any way we can. This holiday season, Executive Director Rene' Bullock had a great time decorating the Chamber's wreath at Community Uplift Partnership's Reunion Coffee House. The Chamber's wreath was one of 25 wreaths that area organizations sponsored to help decorate and support the coffee shop. Thank you CUP for all you do for our community.

SACFD donates Hazmat truck to Firefighter Memorial Transport
The Commerce City Chamber was there as chamber member South Adams County Fire Department donated a 1992 GMC Hammer “Hazmat” truck to the Firefighter Memorial Transport. The Firefighter Memorial Transport is a charity started by Frank Pizarro, a former New York Fire Department firefighter and 9/11 survivor. The charity helps firefighters and their families by restoring fire trucks and apparatus to carry caskets of fallen firefighters across the country. "The mission of Firefighter Memorial Transport is to provide a memorial to honor fallen heroes and support their families during difficult times," Pizarro said. The donated Hazmat truck from SACFD will serve as the organization's new mobile incident command center for funeral services and public events. Pizarro and Joe Minogue from Firefighter Memorial Transport were there to accept the truck from Fire Chief Ken Koger and Chief Mechanic Miles Miller during a special event at the fire department's training facility on Oct. 19.

Chamber voices concerns on changes to roadways
Commerce City Chamber Executive Director Rene' Bullock, Chamber Coordinator June Younger and Chamber board member Barrett Jensen attended the Colorado Department of Transportation's public meeting on Vasquez Boulevard planned improvements at Eagle Pointe Recreation Center on Nov. 15. The environmental assessment report for the Vasquez Boulevard, I-270 to 64th Avenue project was up for public review and comment through Dec. 15. The report analyzes the benefits and impacts of proposed transportation changes, including closing some streets and directing traffic through other streets. The Chamber voiced several safety concerns for both businesses and residents with the proposed changes.

Leads Group ends year at La Casa del Rey
The Commerce City Chamber's Leads Group ended their 2023 Tour of Local Restaurants with a visit to one of our favorite restaurants, La Casa del Rey. Throughout the year, the Leads Group met at different area restaurants, both in north and south Commerce City, to show support of our local restaurants, all while informally networking with each other. Many who attended Leads throughout the year had never went to some of the restaurants we visited. We hope that this exposure to these restaurants will bring more support to these restaurants in our city. We will be continuing our Tour of Local Restaurants during 2024. We hope you can join us the second and fourth Thursday of the month, unless there is a Lunch & Learn, at lunchtime from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please join us January 25 at Bison Grill at Buffalo Run Golf Course as we have a special presentation by iGo Realty's Arlene Castro on projections for real estate in 2024.

KB Home celebrates ribbon cutting
The Commerce City Chamber was there as KB Home celebrated the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon at their new Legato community at 18871 E. 92nd Pl. on Dec. 7. KB Home plans to have 131 single family homes ranging from 1,382 square feet to 2,500 square feet. "And if you put a basement, it makes it even bigger if you need to," said Regional Sales Manager Tom Magnetti. According to Magnetti, the new homes are designed for the way people live, with modern kitchens overlooking large great rooms, expansive bedroom suites with walk-in closets and ample storage space. Floor plans feature up to six bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths. “We are pleased to offer Denver-area homebuyers spacious, new homes in a desirable Commerce City location,” said Randy Carpenter, President of KB Home’s Colorado division. “Homeowners will

Holiday Inn Express holds groundbreaking ceremony
The Commerce City Chamber was there as a new Holiday Inn Express & Suites broke ground along the Tower Road corridor on Nov. 9. The new hotel will offer 93 rooms and spur economic development along the Tower Road corridor. "This is the first phase of a larger commercial development which includes a multi-family residential project, McDonalds and another Santiago location," said City Manager Jason Rogers. According to Rogers, this will be the first hotel in the city to benefit from a lodging tax rebate program that was created to attract additional hotel development. The city has been working in partnership with Davinder Sandhu and his team since early 2022 on this multi-million dollar investment into the local economy.
"This hotel will be a catalyst for additional investment along the entire Tower Road corridor," Rogers added.
