It's National Safety Month!
When we are able to take care of ourselves and manage our own emotions and stress, we are able to more effectively and lovingly care for those who rely on us. Here are some self-care tips you can use to alleviate stress:
- Spend time outside or go for a walk;
- Think of a peaceful place or meditate;
- Shake, move your body or dance;
- Sleep — relax your body and mind; or
- Talk it out.
Remember, before you can care for someone else, you have to take care of yourself. Make it a priority.
