January 2020
Happy New Year!

Greetings!

The holidays are over. Winter begins in earnest. And while January is the coldest month of the year in the northern hemisphere, that doesn't mean we have to hibernate until spring.

Opportunities for creating new family traditions abound this month. National Spaghetti Day on the 4th is the perfect time to let kids help cook dinner for the family. You could photograph and identify the birds near your house on the 5th, National Bird Day. Kids don't like to take a bath? Use the 13th, National Rubber Ducky Day, to your advantage. Play outside on the 19th (National Popcorn Day), then come in for popcorn and hot chocolate. And every child's favorite, National Opposite Day, is (or should I say isn't?) on January 25th. To top this all off, January is International Creativity Month. So go bundle up and create activities, connections, and fun memories.

Happy New Year!     -Carrie
