"A little girl named, Renee, was nervous in the chair even with the mirror in her mouth. I held her hand the whole time. I made her smile which reminded me why I volunteered. Her favorite part was using Waterlase on her for fillings. What a great experience!

"It was very rewarding to see the amount of dental treatment that was provided to several children. Some children were treated due to pain and others were treated in time to prevent pain from occuring. Thank you everyone for volunteering!"
-Vegas Golden Knights Volunteer
“Seeing my 6 year old patient finish treatment and then get wheeled away with Sir Purr riding around in a dental chair laughing and smiling was definitely a highlight. She had never been to a dentist before and will forever remember the positive experience TeamSmile helped provide.”
- Carolina Panthers Program Volunteer
"On behalf of Dr. Jeremy Jorgenson and myself, we would just like to say what an honor it was to participate at the Los Angeles Chargers - TeamSmile event today. We had an amazing time, got to see some old friends from USC, and wished our daily view was of the Chargers football stadium. We would love to be a part of any future events."
-Libby Dahl, LA Chargers Volunteer
“Unbelievable group of people – very organized and hearts of gold.”

Progam and Office Manager
I first became acquainted with TeamSmile by volunteering for their program with the Royals through my employer Assurant, now Sun Life. As a former teacher, I love working with children, and having worked for neurologists many years ago, I knew the connection between oral hygiene and physical health. Having the opportunity to help children get the dental care they desperately needed, but couldn't afford, was a win- win for me. Since retiring, I also volunteer in the Team Smile office approximately once a week because I am able to do things that they don't have to pay someone to do, so more money can be pumped directly into the program. I also love working with the staff.
“Do all the good we can, by all the means we can, in all the ways we can, in all the places we can, at all the times we can, to all the people we can, as long as we ever can.” John Wesley
“We are thrilled to partner with Dentsply Sirona to help us provide free dental care and oral health education to underserved children throughout the United States through our TeamSmile model,” said John McCarthy, Executive Director of TeamSmile. “Dentsply Sirona is the largest dental manufacturer in the world, and it’s wonderful to see that the leadership and the employees have made the commitment to give back and make a positive difference in this world. The underserved children of this country are the beneficiaries of their kindness.”
Allison Zora, Marketing Communications Manager at Dentsply Sirona, reflects on the TeamSmile program with the Carolina Panthers, “Giving back at the TeamSmile event in Charlotte was a great way to be reminded of why we do what we do and the remarkable impact Dentsply Sirona products can have on both patients and clinicians. Not only did we get to support our local community and make a positive impact on children’s lives, but we were able to build team comradery by working together outside of the office.”
In 2019, TeamSmile plans 33-36 events to care for 6,000 to 7,000 children. In comparison, in 2018, the program comprised 29 events where more than 5,400 children received free dental care and oral health educations worth over $2 million.
Keith Clements, Dentsply Sirona’s project lead, says, “We look forward to expanding our support of this organization that provides care for the needy and specifically their focus on improving the oral health of children which aligns to the mission and vision of Dentsply Sirona.”
Please contribute to TeamSmile to help us provide free dentistry to underprivileged children throughout the country. Through our partnerships with professional and major college sports teams, we’re able to create a lifetime experience AND provide life-changing dentistry for children in great need. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
