Celebrating 20 Years

Congratulations to the staff and residents of member Middlewoods of Farmington , who this year are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of this independent and assisted living senior community.
Member the Nutmeg Symphony Orchestra and Roaring Brook Fourth Grade Chorus presented a collaborative concert May 10 at Avon High School. Nutmeg Symphony Orchestra Music Director Marshall Brown and Roaring Brook School Music Teacher Paul Johnson shared the conducting of the combined pieces. The concert featured Avon High School violinist Elliott Davis in a performance of Tchaikovsky's violin concerto. Elliott won first prize in the 2018 Nutmeg Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition. The program also included the Connecticut premier of a composition by Connecticut composer Joseph Ness.
