It's Mother's Day. It's a day of celebration, a time to remember, a time to grieve, and a time to pray. This Sunday we will be doing all of that and more. The children and students will be making an endearing gift for Moms while the adults will be offering a special blessing and offering a beautiful gift card with the blessing imprinted for families to take home and display. Mary Helen, our most senior Mom at 99, will offer words of wisdom as to how she has dealt with her doubts over her years.

I will continue with our "Greater Things Can Be Done" series looking at how we can overcome our self-doubts that often hold us back from believing that we can do greater things with our lives. Our story will take us back in time to when Jesus encountered "Doubting" Thomas with a word of hope through his doubts.

I am hoping we can be together on this special day.

And here are some things I want to highlight:

Last week we called for a "Tiger Team" to help our Crossroads family do greater things by helping us spread the good news of God's unconditional love, Jesus' unlimited welcome, and the unwavering hope of transformation as far and wide as we can. There is still room for you if you have an interest or skill to help your Crossroads family. You can sign up here.

Also. Vacation Bible School (VBS), a.k.a. Vacation Serve Camp registration is still open.

This will be a great week of fun, learning and growing as the children:
  • Learn and experience Bible stories
  • Create projects to serve the local community
  • Create and serve snacks for one another
  • Worship Jesus with music
  • Experience value centered learning games
  • Meet people who are serving in our community
  • Enjoy a Family SERVE Celebration

Tomorrow we will be meeting for our first PFLAG training event. We already have 20 people signed up to attend and there's still room if you are interested. You can learn more and sign up here.

One more thing. ATTENTION all graduates. We want to celebrate you! You are invited to an awesome graduation retreat at Cathy's and my home on the mountain on Saturday May 18th. it will be blast. There will be great stories and blessings for both graduates and parents. It will be inspirational for both parents and graduates. We want to honor you for all you are and all you have accomplished with your education. For more information and to register

If you can't be with us on Sunday, then maybe you can join us online.

Let's never stop growing in our love for God, others and ourselves. It's our most important work.

See you soon,
Tiger Team- Doing Greater Things!

Crossroads is forming new 'Tiger Teams'. A Tiger Team is a team of skilled individuals formed to work on specific goals. In this case they will be a group of people that come together to help blast out who Crossroads is - a family that always welcomes everyone.
