working in a variety of media to lead their winter 2019 Adult Art Workshops.  Artists working with drawing, painting, mixed media, collage, ceramics, sculpture, fibers, printmaking, photography and more are invited to apply! Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, Ingham Counties (CMHA-CEI) announces call to artists for artwork to display within their conference rooms at 812 E. Jolly Road. They are seeking artworks of the following inland lakes, rivers and streams: Lake St. Claire, Lake Lansing, Lake Charlevoix, Higgins Lake, Houghton Lake, Duck Lake, Burt Lake, Mullett Lake, Leelanau Lake, Lake Ovid (Sleep Hollow State Park), Grand River, Thornapple River, Red Cedar River, Looking Glass River, and Sycamore Creek. Embracing Our Differences annual juried international competition announces a call to artists. The exhibition will include 50 billboard-size images reflecting the theme "enriching lives through diversity and inclusion." Deadline to apply is Oct. 8, 2019. Monmouth Museum Petopia! announces a call to artists for this juried art holiday exhibition that will feature  depictions of creatures big and small covered in fur, feathers and scales to celebrate the loving bond between pets and their owners as well as the universal affection for the natural beauty and majestic power of all animals. Artwork will be considered in all media and styles from the traditional pet portrait to depictions of animals in their habitats to anthropomorphism and beyond. Deadline to apply is Oct. 14. Northville Art House announces a  call to artists for its Holiday Market on Dec. 6 &7 in downtown Northville. Artists may submit six (6) works to be considered. There is a $20 non-refundable entry fee and booth fees of $80 - $100. Deadline to apply is Oct. 20. Get more info and apply.

Northwest Arts Center announces an open call for artists worldwide to enter work for its upcoming Americas 2020: Paperworks Exhibition.  Works in any medium, on or of paper, traditional or experimental, including photographs, qualify. All works must be original and not measure over 60 inches in any direction. Work must be ready to exhibit, completed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited in an Americas 2000 exhibition. It is preferred that two-dimensional work be framed and protected by clear acrylic glazing. Get more info and apply.

City of West Hollywood announces a call to artists for its "One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival Design Competition." This year's theme is "For the Record." They are  seeking booklet cover design submissions that can also be used on a variety of media. Most prominently, your design will be used as the cover of a booklet of which several thousand copies will be printed and distributed widely. D esign will also be adapted for street banners, which will be seen by thousands as they drive through West Hollywood. Application deadline is Oct. 24.  Get more info and apply.

The Arts Council of Lake Oswego in Oregon announces a call to artists for up to three (3) works of art for outdoor public display in Lake Oswego's nationally recognized, award-winning outdoor Gallery Without Walls exhibit. In its twentieth year, this program's mission is to integrate art into the daily lives of local residents and visitors to the community by presenting works from regional, national and international artists that resonate with people of diverse backgrounds. Startup Grind presents a Fireside Chat --  #SGWomen: Women in Entrepreneurship with Jen Estill of Red Head Design Studio.   With a passion for helping entrepreneurs and leaders find their voice and move audiences, Jen develops everything from company names to visual brands to marketing plans.
