Arts Council of Greater Lansing is accepting applications for our Young Creatives: Artists in Residence Program. Chosen artists will be placed on a web-based Artist Roster, which classroom teachers can use to find a teaching artist that meets their classroom and student needs. Currently the program serves Lansing School District classrooms.Teaching Artists must be professional artists with expertise in one or more arts disciplines who have previously worked with children and teachers in educational settings. Arts Council of Greater Lansing continues its education series with its smARTS Workshop: "Responding to the Call for Individual Artists" on Aug. 7 from 6-8 p.m. This panel discussion will feature artists Ivan Iler, Steph Joy Hogan and Dane Porter who will share insight and tips for responding to RFPs/RFQs.
