Grand Ledge School District is seeking a part-time elementary art teacher. Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. Must meet all applicable standards for a "highly qualified" teacher under the State and Federal Law, including the Every Student Succeeds Act and the Michigan State Board of Education.  Get more info and apply .

working in a variety of media to lead their fall 2019 Adult Art Workshops.  Artists working with drawing, painting, mixed media, collage, ceramics, sculpture, fibers, printmaking, photography and more are invited to apply! Internships

Peckham is seeking an art studio intern. This intern position allows an undergraduate student an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a socially engaged art studio with diverse clients in their Art From the Heart Program. This position requires 17 hours per week.  Get details and apply.

Impression 5 Science Center is seeking a development intern. Calls for submissions/RFPs

Michigan State University Choral Union will hold  auditions for its upcoming season on Wednesdays, Sept. 4 and 11, at 6 p.m Auditionees will be asked to vocalize and sing the first verse of The Star Spangled Banner. Previous choral experience desirable, but not required. No appointment necessary but auditionees should arrive at 6 p.m. for a general information session. Northville Art House in Northville, Mich. announces a call to artists for a juried small art exhibition, Nov. 1-30, 2019. Up to $650 in awards will be presented, including 1st-4th place and Honorable Mentions. Artists 18 and over may submit a maximum of six (6) works of art created within the last three (3) years and not previously exhibited at the Art House.  Submission deadline is Sept. 15, 11:59 p.m. EST.   Get more info

Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center announces a call to artists for their "Michigan Made: 2019 Holiday Art Exhibition." All artists must be over 18 years of age and Michigan residents. Artworks must be original. Artwork does NOT have to be holiday themed. All artwork must have been created within the last three years and meet the gallery's framing and presentation guidelines. Submission deadline is Sept. 1, 2019. Apply today.

DeWitt DDA call to artists! The DDA is seeking an artist to partner with the community in painting the sidewalks at the corner of Bridge and Main Streets. Application deadline is Sept. 6, 2019. See the offical RFP and application.

Fenner Nature Center call for submissions. Due to unexpected construction delays, "Sunrises & Smokestacks: Deconstructing the divide between urban and wild spaces" has been rescheduled for December. With this change, Fenner is calling for additional submissions, limited to 3D media. Application d eadline is Sept.13, 2019 at 5 p.m. Get more details and apply.

Lansing's Turner-Dodge House & Heritage Center announces a call to artists
for its 3rd annual Art & Antique Sale and Classic Car Cruise-In on Sunday, Sept. 22 from 9-4 p.m. at the Historic Turner-Dodge House, 100 E. North St., Lansing, MI. Exhibit space available for $25.00 on the Turner-Dodge House lawn. For more information please contact Michael Beebe at 517-372-1348.

Art in the Loft announces a call to artists for their fourth annual juried art exhibition "Light." Submission deadline is Sept. 6, 2019 with an awards and opening reception on Oct. 4. All works must be original and can be submitted in one or multiple media. A $35 fee will be charged for first entry and $10 for each additional.  Maximum of three (3) entries will be accepted.  Get more details and apply.

The Arts Council of Greater Lansing's  Creative Placemaking Summit 5: Forward Momentum is Sept. 26, 2019! Register today to get your early bird ticket prices and save $10! Early bird pricing ends on Sept. 5! Need some Creative Placemaking 101? Attend the Pre-Summit Session on Sept. 25 at Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, featuring Lansing Community College President,  Dr. Brent Knight. Lansing Regional Chamber Leadership Lansing program is accepting  applications for its eight-month leadership program. The program includes seven workshops from October 2019 through May 2020. They are seeking a diverse representation of organizations from across the community, including professionals from financial services, education, the arts and more.
