Calls for submissions/RFPs

Michigan Legacy Art Park is  currently taking submissions for new works to be considered for the Art Park permanent collection. This is an excellent opportunity for both emerging and established artists.  The Collections and Exhibition Committee will accept submissions on a rolling basis but will review works after October 15 and April 15 of each year.  Get more info and apply.

Lansing Makers Network announces a call to artists for their How to Holiday Market, a one-day holiday event held the day after Black Friday. Participation is free. Sales are handled by LMN and proceeds are split 70/30 with 70% going to the artist. If you would like to show your work email Cliff at [email protected] for more info and application details. Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center announces a call to artists for the 2020 Michigan Collegiate Art Exhibition,  a competitive exhibition to be held in March 2020. Artworks of all medias are eligible, including but not limited to the following: paintings, sculpture, mixed media, photography, graphic design, installations, short film and video games. Lowell Arts announces a call to artists for their Art of Change exhibition.  Artists are invited to submit artwork for an exhibition that addresses current global issues of today, including but not limited to: human rights, social justice, gender equality, and environmental stewardship. Open to all visual arts media. City of East Lansing announces a call to artists for its annual East Lansing Art Festival to be held on May 16-17, 2020. Early-Bird application fee is $25 and applications are due on Nov. 30, 2019. Fee goes up to $35 after Nov. 30. Get more info and apply.

Kalamazoo Institute of Arts announces a call to artists for its 69th annual Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair held in June 2020. This juried show features up to 190 fine artists. Deadline to apply is Jan. 31, 2020. Application fee is $35.  Get more info and apply.

The Capital City Film Festival (CCFF) announces a call for submissions for its 2020, 10th Annual film festival.  Submit your project on  FilmFreeway  for CCFF happening April 9-18, 2020 all around Lansing. You heard that right: ten days of fest-y goodness for year ten. 

City of Lansing's Art & Culture Grants Arts Impact Project Pitch for 2020 projects is coming on Dec. 11, 2019! Pitches are made on a first come, first served basis at MICA Gallery at 1210 Turner St. in Old Town from 4-7 p.m. Now is the time to start planning your project idea for 2020! Get more info .

Attend an  Arts Council Open Group Grant Consultation.  Our next one will be held Dec. 6., 9-11 a.m. at   Fay's Evelyn Bay Coffee, (134 S. Cochran Ave., Charlotte).   Grant consultations are free of charge and offer an opportunity to ask questions and discuss grants in a casual, relaxed setting.
