Hello again.
It's time for our fall membership campaign, one of the two times in the year we come and ask for support to remind you that we are one of the few full time jazz stations in the Country, and we do it primarily with your donations.
When you consider whether or not to become a member, think about all the things you like about the radio station. Everyone probably has different reasons, but those reasons add up to why you tune into the radio station on the air or through streaming services on a regular basis.
When I was growing up, radio was my primary source of entertainment, and I always wished that I could tune in to stations in other parts of the Country. When I first came to Jazz90.1, I was disappointed that friends and family outside of Rochester couldn't listen to my shows. Of course that has all changed due to the internet and streaming services. So, please keep that in mind when choosing to support this station, as you can take it everywhere you go.
With just a few exceptions, Jazz90.1 is kept running by volunteers, both on the air and behind the scenes. So now it's your turn to become a volunteer, by volunteering to make a donation to Jazz90.1. Please donate on our website Jazz901.org, by calling 585 966-5299, or by returning the renewal letter that many of you have received.
