A Note from the Pastor
We got our annual mission giving statement from the Arkansas Baptist State Convention last week.  In 2018, First Baptist Church gave $627,392.98 to causes outside the church through Southern Baptist mission channels. These funds do not count the money that 130 of you spent paying travel for work in our strategic mission partnerships around the world. Nor does it count mission money given through the GO Fund, timberland fund, and gas/mineral funds. That increases the gifts substantially to roughly $787,000 . First Baptist gives megabucks outside the walls of the church. Thank you for your kingdom vision, your mission spirit, and your mission generosity. I’m proud of you and thankful for you.

This Sunday, we conclude the series, Where God Is . Last week, we looked at the church as the body of Christ. This week, we’ll think about valuing the body of Christ as a place where God does great work in us and through us. Let’s finish this series strong. If you know someone out of church or down on the church, invite them to come. God may warm their heart toward the church again. See you Sunday.

Your Pastor,
John

CHILDREN’S SUMMER
PROGRAMMING
We need to let you know we are changing up our children’s summer programming. We will no longer offer our children’s summer basketball camps for multiple reasons including decreased participation, increased community alternatives, and the need to be better stewards of our resources. We are currently working on a list of summer specialty camps and will post the list no later than mid-February.

Most Fun Job in Church!
Can You Drive a Golf Cart?
Then this ministry may be for you! Some of our drivers have had to quit for medical and family reasons. We need a Golf Cart Driver for 1 st Sundays. We also need one for every Sunday now.  Our purpose is to give a friendly welcome and directions and provide transportation from remote parking areas to the church building. This will make it more convenient for our members to park further away, allowing more parking up close for new people. Contact me if you are interested.
Love, Danny
