Heart Connections - April 2023

In April, 52 (now formerly) homeless pets made a heart connection with their forever families. Our thanks to adopters for welcoming these amazing pets into their hearts and homes! Above are just a few of the new matches made this month.

April 2023 Shelter Snapshot

The generous support of staff, volunteers, and donors enables GMHS to provide daily care, cover special medical needs, foster animals in homes as needed, and arrange transportation to adoption-guaranteed partners. We are also committed to education, outreach, and transparency. Our annual statistics are available on our website, and we also offer you a monthly snapshot.

Want to be a superhero to tiny kittens? Join the amazing team of GMHS kitten fosters!

Their superpowers include bottle feeding, socializing, and saving the lives of kittens! We won't supply the cape but will give you all the supplies and training necessary to feed and care for the kittens in your charge to get them ready for adoption.

Compassionate Community

Carolyn Molly, Supervising Broker at Abbitt Realty Company, at right, recently presented a $250 donation from Abbitt Realty to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society Communications and Development Coordinator Caitlin Donnelly, left, and adoptable dog Donner, center, in support of GMHS' life-saving programs and services.

Thank you to the SCA of Bethel Elementary School! They collected supplies for the homeless pets of GMHS. Zoey Hart from Mrs. Coleman’s third grade class is pictured with the donations. Way to go, Bethel Bears! We appreciate your kindness.
