That's what our volunteers did at the Tustin vision screening. We had a wonderful turnout and were able to serve many low-income individuals and those without access to vision screening services. We are so thankful for every one of our volunteers!
This event was made possible by the Tustin Host, Orange County Central, and Santa Ana Host Lions clubs, in collaboration with the Santa Ana and Tustin Unified School Districts. We appreciate all of you working side-by-side to facilitate a smooth set-up, event wrap-up, and patient flow for this event.

The host clubs secured a great venue and successfully promoted the event to the public. Their early recruiting of doctors, opticians, and volunteers enabled us to provide FREE vision screenings for nearly 350 people.
The work was managed by 100 volunteers, including 6 doctors. Overall, volunteers from 17 different Lions Clubs participated and bilingual high school students helped with translation. With their help, we were able to evaluate eye health and restore vision for people in Tustin and the surrounding communities.

IN A SINGLE DAY our volunteer doctors screened 347 people to assess their eye health | |
19 were identified with a

California Lions Friends in Sight is helping people in need throughout Southern California. We provide free vision screenings and free recycled eyeglasses right in your Lions District. Your generous donations and time make these screenings possible. Your time is a most precious gift for another person. You'll see it for yourself at vision screenings, or you can donate your time and talents to help us behind the scenes. You can:
- Assist doctors at patient care work stations and help patients with their "new" recycled eyeglasses.
- Maintain vehicles, serve as a driver, create social media communications, or help out with eyeglass inventory management.
