There will be a question-and-answer period and open discussion following the presentations.

Gloucester Meetinghouse is presenting a program called 'Refusing to Pay' about how courageous Gloucester residents in the 1780's helped to establish the separation of church and state and the guarantee of religious liberty in America. This three-part program was created for Gloucester’s 400th Anniversary Celebration to share the remarkable story of Rev. John Murray, his Gloucester Universalists followers, and how they influenced the guarantee of religious liberty in First Amendment to the US Constitution.
