As plans across the country were coming together by the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) for a pro-Israel rally in Washington DC, it was easy for Rabbi Drandoff to make the quick decision to cancel Upper School classes on November 14 and mobilize a way for CTA to join on the National Mall to hear from an all start line up of Israel supporters.
Three buses with CTA students, staff, parents, alumni, and supporters embarked on an overnight trip made possible by generous sponsors. Buses were provided by JewishColumbus and special add ons like a bagel breakfast in Silver Spring, Metro card travel, and pizza dinner made the trip special and meaningful.
"CTA stood at the center of history with our students standing shoulder to shoulder with 300,000 fellow supporters of Israel on the National Mall", remarked Rabbi Drandoff. "We all drew inspiration from the many people taking a day from work, from school, from everything to support Israel and chant cries to bring the hostages home. I ran into so many CTA alumni and supporters."
