George Schultz, Founder of Shannon Construction
In March of 1971, George Schultz began Shannon Construction Company, formed after participating in a partnership with Larson Builders. His partners retired, but George continued to love the construction industry and wanted to use his vast trade experience. Shannon Construction was born. It wasn't long after this that George recognized that interior renovations were the future for Shannon Construction. The Master Builder Awards were held virtually on February 25, 2021. The 2021 edition of The Construction Industry Evening of Excellence for Western PA was special for Shannon Construction. We were honored as a recipient of a 2020 MBA Building Excellence Award.

Shannon had both finalists in the 'Renovation Construction Over $10 Million' category, the Terminal 21 Apartments and the Waterfront Tech Center/Commonwealth Charter Academy projects. We won for our Terminal 21 Apartment project.

Welcome Jack!
Shannon Construction welcomes Jack Bruce, Senior Project Manager, to the team! Jack offers over 35 years of industry experience to valued clients and partners from property development to ground-up construction ranging to $250 million. His tenure includes a variety of successful projects where he performed in critical leadership roles from owner’s representative to Senior Project Manager. A few of his projects across the US include CONSOL Headquarters, Mylan World Headquarters, Dick’s Sporting Goods Headquarters, and multiple higher education institutes, multi-family, hospitality, and medical facilities. In his spare time, Jack enjoys working on his home and spending time with his wife of nearly 35 years and two sons. Welcome Jack, we are excited to have you join the Shannon family.
National nonresidential construction spending increased 0.9% on a monthly basis in January 2021 but is down 5% since January 2020, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data published yesterday by the U.S. Census Bureau. On a seasonally adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential spending totaled $799.1 billion for the month.

Katie Walker is the proud new owner of a Girl Scout vest, covered in badges showing off a variety of accomplishments. 

Walker isn’t a Girl Scout though. She’s a project manager for Lingo Construction Services, Inc., an AGC of Oklahoma Building Chapter member, who oversaw building the Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma’s new Camp Trivera in Oklahoma City.
