SUMMER READING

It's almost time for the Summer Reading Club!  The 2020 Summer Reading theme is “Imagine Your Story.” We have reading clubs for everyone in the family, from babies to grandparents. Sign up begins on June 29th and the program begins on July 6. This year we will be using READsquared to track reading. You'll be able to sign up through a link on our website or download the app. More details coming soon!

JUNE IS NOT ONLY
PRIDE MONTH, IT'S
RAINBOW BOOK MONTH!
You may already know that June is Pride Month, commemorating the Stonewall Riots, and recognizing and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. Did you know it's also Rainbow Book Month? Rainbow Book Month is a national celebration of books that reflect the LGBTQ+ experience. Libraries are trusted resources that foster community, understanding and access to the very best in LGBTQ+ literature. For more information and a list of suggested books, click here.
NOW ON HOOPLA
Hoopla features a wide selection of books focused on racial issues, all available with no holds or waiting. Click here to access this collection. Email us if you have questions about using Hoopla.
GETTING READY TO REOPEN

We're doing all we can (like stocking up on hand sanitizer) to prepare to welcome you back as safely as possible. As a first step towards reopening, we will begin offering curbside pickup on Monday, June 22. We'll provide details on how this will work this week (through email, our website, and social media). We miss you!
2020 CENSUS

Have you responded yet?
If not, do it today - it's not too late! You can respond  online , by phone, or by mail. Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities each year, and how many seats in Congress each state gets.
OUR DIGITAL BRANCH IS ALWAYS OPEN

We have a wide variety of electronic resources available 24/7, 365 days
a year - ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more! Visit our website to learn more.
Sherlock Holmes Story Hour
Last week, we shared Librarian
John McBride's reading of
'The Boscombe Valley Mystery'
by Arthur Conan Doyle. Missed it? Never fear! Click the image to find episodes one and two on our website, or visit our YouTube channel.
Got questions?
We've got answers!

If you have a question but would rather call us than email us, you can leave a message at the library's
main number, 732-632-8526.
Someone will call you back between 12-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Please note that the return call may come up as 'blocked' or 'unknown.'
