NEW & NOTABLE AT COVENANT

SPECIAL FIFTH SUNDAY SELAH SERVICE ON SUNDAY

Our new tradition is to hold a special service on Sundays that fall on the fifth Sunday of month. This Sunday, November 30, we will be sharing song, scripture, the Christ Light, opportunities to express how you have experienced God this week and what brings you hope, Celebrations & Concerns, and a time for Advent wreath making. If you will be worshipping online and want to make an Advent wreath during that time of the service, please pull together items ahead of time, including candles and some greens. Be sure to pick up your Advent devotional. If you want an electronic version of the devotional, please email Nancy Stockford (nancy.stockford@cotcbos.org).

WORLD AIDS DAY: NAMES MEMORIAL QUILT

Join SPOKE Art (founded by artist Michael Dowling) this Sunday, November 30, at 12:30 pm, to help carry 16 sections of the Names Memorial Quilt from Boston City Hall to the Boston Center for the Arts. Gather at 12:30 pm at Boston City Hall. Come alone or create a team. It takes 12 to carry each section. Click here for more information and to sign up to participate. SPOKE Art transforms communities from the inside out by inviting all members to participate in the uplifting and transcendent power of art.

DINNER CHURCH ON SUNDAY

Please come to an intergenerational potluck dinner and worship this Sunday, November 30, at 5:00 pm, at Fourth Presbyterian Church (340 Dorchester Street). This safe, loving space is intentionally queer and trans affirming. We will share scripture, song, discussion, and Communion. Everyone is welcome! Please bring something vegetarian to share if you are able, and let Rev. Kate (kate.carlisle@cotcbos.org) know if you have any questions.

SACRED RECKONINGS SPIRITUAL EDUCATION SESSIONS

Join us on the first Sunday of each month after worship (in person and online) as our Sacred Reckonings Team engages us in a series related to the beauty of repair through truth-telling, spiritual practices, relationships, advocacy, and wealth return. The topic of the next session on December 7, will be the Ten Demandments. Questions? Kathy Bull:  kaxianna@yahoo.com or Rev. Rob: rob.mark@cotcbos.org.

QUEER BIBLE STUDY

Join us on Monday, December 8, at 7:30 pm, via Zoom, for the new Queer Bible Study co-hosted by several congregations in the Presbytery of Boston and New England GLOW.
