BOSTON PRESBYTERY PENTECOST GATHERING
Join the Boston Presbytery tomorrow, Saturday, May 30, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline, for a joyful Pentecost gathering. In the spirit of Pentecost, this will be a day to celebrate the church and the community we share together. We’ll gather for a potluck picnic, supplemented with catering from Blue Ribbon BBQ. We’ll play together, with games provided by New England GLOW and with access to the park’s playground. Most importantly, we’ll worship together, allowing the Spirit to guide us through impromptu music and prayer. So bring a dish, bring an instrument, or bring a friend! All are welcome to come for food, fun, and a chance to connect across our wider church family. Contact Rev. Kate (kate.carlisle@cotcbos.org) for more information.

Kate (kate.carlisle@cotcbos.org) know as soon as possible. All COTCers are welcome and we encourage you to bring friends! If you’ll be at Pride in any capacity, wear a COTC T-shirt or the Presbyterians for Pride shirt from previous years!

ALL-CHURCH READ ON JUNE 16
Tuesday, June 16, 6:30-7:30 pm, via Zoom. The Climate Jubilee Team will host an online discussion of Refugia Faith: Seeking Hidden Shelters, Ordinary Wonders, and the Healing of the Earth by Debra Rienstra. The book explores how Christian spirituality and practice must adapt to prepare for life on a climate-altered planet. Betty had a conversation with Debra this week because she is conducting research for a new book which will share what churches are doing to address the climate crisis. Here is a link to her recent article which was shared by Third Act Faith. It will give you a chance to read her work and, hopefully, entice you to read her book. Please reach out to Betty with any questions (southwickbetty@gmail.com).
