This Sunday, March 9, after worship (in person and online), Liz Vizza will teach us about what she’s learned about the indigenous people who settled the area now called the Back Bay, through research during a monument intervention project done when she led the Friends of the Public Garden.
BOOK DISCUSSION AFTER WORSHIP ON MARCH 16
After worship (in person and online) on Sunday, March 16, the Sacred Reckonings Team will lead an all-church book discussion on James by Percival Everett. James is a reimagined telling of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of Jim, a person who was enslaved and was Huck’s companion. You are welcome to attend even if you haven’t read the book.
MARCH 30 SPECIAL 5th SUNDAY
March 30 will be the first special 5th Sunday at Covenant. Join us in worship for this creative expression of worship that will look and feel new. Everyone who comes in person will receive a special gift that will infuse our Being SEEDs Lenten theme worship. CORO ALLEGRO CONCERT IN SANCTUARY ON SUNDAY, MARCH 9
On Sunday March 9 at 3:00 pm, Coro Allegro, Boston’s LGBTQ+ and Allied Classical Chorus and Covenant tenant, will be performing a concert called From Darkness to Light in the sanctuary. The concert program confronts some of the worst of humanity, but ultimately shows a path to the best in us and our hopes for the future. Parking is available at the Back Bay Garage (Clarendon Street, between Boylston and St. James) on Sundays between 6:00 am and 9:00 pm for the first three (3) hours for only $5. To get this rate, please ask an usher before or after the worship service for a parking discount voucher. A weekend discount is also available for longer periods: $10 for up to eleven (11) hours. BIBLE STUDY WEDNESDAYS
Our weekly Bible Study meets on Wednesday mornings at 9:45 on Zoom. We are studying the book of Genesis, reading the origin stories that shaped the lives and faith of ancient Jews and exploring their meaning for contemporary Christians. WEDNESDAY EVENING PRAYERS
On Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 6:30 pm, join us for our weekly Wednesday evening prayers with intentional liturgy, contemplative song, psalms, and sharing of prayers with our siblings from Newton Presbyterian, on Zoom.
