Cricket by Kelbourne Woolens

Cricket is a 100% merino wool, single ply, woolen spun tweed put up in a generous 415 yard 100 gram skein. Spun in Donegal Ireland.

We are carrying 10 colorways. All six garments in the Cricket Collection will be at TKE this week and next. Please come see these fine pieces.

Gleninagh

Gleninagh is worked in the round from the bottom up. The FairIsle Yoke is a stunner!

Durrow

Durrow is an oversized dolman pullover worked in pieces from the bottom up.

Ross

This classic waistcoat is knit in pieces and seamed. The leather buttons finish the look.

Enniskillen

Enniskillen is worked in the round from the bottom up with steeks to create openings for the armholes and V-neck. 

Eyre

Eyre is a modern lace yoke pullover. Designed with oversized styling, it is intended to be worn with generous positive ease.

Tyrconnell

Tyrconnell is worked in pieces from the bottom up. The sweater features a deep ribbing at the cuffs and hem. 

Nimbus

Stop the presses! If you're a fan of Cumulus,(and who isn't?), you'll want to hear that Juniper Moon Farm has done it again with Nimbus! Identical in composition to the ever-popular family of Cumulus yarns --- super soft Israeli Mako cotton and a bit of nylon for added strength, Nimbus is a bulkier version. It knits up at a chunky gauge of 12-15 stitches per 4 inches on US 9-11 needles. Imagine the joy of warm weather cotton knitting combined with a bulky gauge. 

Leighton Baby Blanket

Weaving 101 class for Monday August 14 & 21

10:00 - 1:30 pm is filling now.

Learn the basics of rigid heddle loom weaving. Class includes: 6.5 hours of instruction, all handouts, yarn for first woven scarf project and loan of a 15" cricket loom for the two week class. Come crochet a hangar cover like your Mother or Grandmother did years ago.

We will supply the hangars!

Plain heavy white ones like the one shown above. You will need to bring about 1/2 ball of Encore Worsted; crochet hooks- size G & H, plus a tapestry needle. We will also have some children's sized hangers to cover- for those you will need a partial ball of Dreambaby DK and a size E or F hook.
