Residency Learning Networks
The FMEC received seed programming funds from the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) for its project, FMEC Learning Networks: Collaborating to Accelerate Innovations. Even before ACGME requirements, the FMEC was a leader in creating residency learning networks and collaboratives. The ABFM grant funding will help the FMEC formalize and advance its work over the next three years. Interested in joining? Have ideas for what FMEC learning networks might address? Changes Coming to Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) Plan
With the passage of the most recent omnibus spending bill, student loan borrowers should prepare for some significant updates to the IDR system. These changes will not happen all at once—they’ll be introduced in stages over the next few years. The current IDR plan will stay available, though with some modifications. A new plan, Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP), will eventually take the place of the other IDR plans. Borrowers can continue with their current plan (except SAVE) until mid-2028. Changes will roll out gradually, and the exact effects on individual borrowers remain to be seen until full implementation. If you have questions or are unsure how upcoming changes might impact your loan repayment strategy, don’t hesitate to reach out to Navigate. The Navigate team is here to help break down your options and ensure you stay on track. Book a free session with a Student Loan Guide at Navigate and use this special link so Navigate knows we sent you: https://navigate.as.me/FMEC.
