Buzz on over to the library this summer and BEE inspired!

Beginning June 22, we are embarking on a new quest and we want YOU to join us. We have prepared a summer full of awesome educational and entertaining programs and events for everyone. Check out FUN this summer at BCFL!
Play: Summer Quest begins this Saturday, June 22nd, with Kick-off Fairs across the county. Enjoy a full calendar of new and exciting family-friendly programs and events including acrobats, laser light shows, magicians and chickens (but not all at once!). With performances ranging from The Franklin Institute to Strongman Eric Moss to Lehigh Valley Zoo, there's something for everyone this summer. Check out our calendar to learn more.
Learn: Participate in the summer reading challenge and make an impact here and abroad! Pick up your reading log at your local branch or download one from our website. Then, stop into your branch throughout the summer to get your log stamped and record your minutes. For every 30 minutes of reading, you earn the chance to complete a special mural and vote for the animal that you would like to see us donate to a community in need. At the end of the summer, we will donate one animal per branch through Heifer International, a nonprofit that seeks to give back globally by helping communities to develop sustainable agricultural and farming practices that lead to self-reliance for food and economic development. By participating in the summer reading challenge, you can enrich your life - and someone else's - through the power of reading. We can't wait to see the results!

Explore: Join the Badge Squad adventure to earn limited-edition badges throughout the summer. Meet members of the 4-H as they teach you to care for a wide variety of domestic animals. Stream a movie , check out an instrument or get a passport . Get help writing your resume , do it yourself or learn a new skill . We're excited to embark with you on your personal quest this summer!
FUEL UP! In partnership with the Bensalem Township School District, the Bensalem and Levittown branches will host free lunches as part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Between June 24 and August 15, anyone 18 and under can stop into the library for a nutritious, delicious lunch, Mondays through Thursdays from noon to 1:00pm. No registration is required.
