Learn:
Participate in the
summer reading challenge
and make an impact here
and
abroad! Pick up your reading log at your local branch or
download
one from our website. Then, stop into your branch throughout the summer to get your log stamped and record your minutes. For every 30 minutes of reading, you earn the chance to complete a special mural and vote for the animal that you would like to see us donate to a community in need. At the end of the summer, we will donate one animal per branch through Heifer International, a nonprofit that seeks to give back globally by helping communities to develop sustainable agricultural and farming practices that lead to self-reliance for food and economic development. By participating in the summer reading challenge, you can enrich your life - and someone else's - through the power of reading. We can't wait to see the results!
