After a Rainy May, Get Out and Enjoy the June Sun

It's been a pretty soggy two months, so here's hoping that June brings more sunshine. We know about the dangers of too much sun, but as long as you are smart about sunglasses and sunscreen, the sun offers some great health benefits:
  • Vitamin D (activated by sunshine) improves your immune system and promotes bone growth.
  • Sunlight improves mood, especially for those who suffer from the winter blues.
  • Sunlight increases melatonin production at night for better sleep.
  • Sunshine may help lower high blood pressure and aid in weight loss.
Get out into the sun for at least 15 minutes daily to reap these benefits!
