Aging Wide Awake, Meditation Circle- Tuesdays- 10:15- 11:00am on Zoom. We live in a culture where most avoid any talk about aging unless it's about how to defy it. Our weekly meditation circle takes a different approach. We regard our older years as an opportunity to grow. Through exploration of ancient and contemporary wisdom writings and meaningful conversations, we nurture and deepen connections with one another. Curious? Join us! It is open and FREE. Send an e-mail to laurie1059@gmail.com to register.
Music at St. Alban's- Join us on Sunday, January 21 at 3:00 p.m., as Music at St. Alban’s (M@SA) presents a concert with Alicia Chapman and Friends. All three musicians are faculty members of the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University. Come and listen as they weave together a tapestry of music with works by Clémence de Grandval, Benedetto Marcello, H. Leslie Adams, and the celebrated Trio by Francis Poulenc. Join the musical friends for something old, something new, and something borrowed, for oboe, piano and bassoon!
The concert will be preceded by a young artists’ performance at 2:20 p.m., featuring pianist Evan Brezicki. The concert will be available via live streaming. For information about that option and tickets, visit M@SA’s website: www.musicatstalbansdavidson.org. This event is made possible, in part, with funding from the ASC and support from WDAV. News of Davidson is our media partner. M@SA is a 501[c]3 non-profit organization.
