ESSAY-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS | |
Do you enjoy telling stories and expressing yourself through writing? These scholarships are for you! While most of our scholarships do require an essay, these scholarships do not have other criteria such as GPA, academic major, or participation in a particular Crosby Scholars Program. | |
Friends of Bernardine Rea Scholarship
Essay Topic: Describe a time when someone unexpectedly treated you with kindness and compassion. How will this influence your future behavior?

Essay Topic: Explain how you have weathered adversity resulting from a personal choice. How have you emerged with a story of willpower and determination?

Mona W. Lovett Community Volunteer Excellence Award
For students who have provided outstanding service to the community as evidence by their nomination by a local agency.
Essay Topic: Explain what made you decide to volunteer with the organization you worked with and how you made a difference in your volunteering.

For students who have spearheaded or recruited other to participate in a service activity.

For students who have completed at least 50 hours of volunteer service during their senior year of high school.
