Canal Maintenance Has Been Completed
Each year, Palmetto Bay employs a contractor to clear stormwater drains throughout the Village to prevent standing water which may lead to flooding during a significant storm event. Drain cleaning is implemented annually in advance of the Hurricane Season which runs from June 1st to November 30th.

During the FY 2021-22, the Village Council approved the selection of EnviroWaste Services Group and allocated $150,000 to work on the zones which they began on February 14, 2022 and it's estimated to be completed in 2-3 months.

Village Auditors Issue Report With "No Findings"
The Village’s Auditor, Marcum LLP, recently concluded its detailed Annual Audit of Fiscal Year 2020-21, which began on October 1, 2020 and ended on September 30, 2021. Most importantly, the Audit did not reveal any findings, or deviations from best practices.

Deadline Announced for Student Photography Contest
The deadline to register is April 29, 2022.
If you're a student (Elementary thru College) and you reside or attend a public or private school in the Village, this is your chance. Plus, you can win ca$h!

World Autism Awareness Day
World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day on April 2 every year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout the world. 

Autism, a complex developmental condition that affects 1 in every 54 children in the United States ability to interact, communicate, and progress.

World Autism Day is one of only seven official health-specific UN days. The day itself brings individual autism organizations together all around the world to aid in things like research, diagnoses, treatment, and acceptance for those with a developmental path of autism.
