Israeli Cooking with Chef Paul Nirens

April 5th @ 12pm ET | 9am PT
WRJ's Israel Education Committee presents, “Israeli Cooking with Chef Paul Nirens.” Chef Nirens will show us a foraging tour in Israel’s northern Galilee, and then we will participate in a cooking workshop where we can cook along with him. Following the demonstration, WRJ Board members, Lisa B. Schwartz and Jacquie Schwitzer will facilitate a Q and A session with Paul. 
Virtual Lilith Salon (Winter Issue)

April 6th @ 8pm ET | 5pm PT

Grab a glass of wine or a cup of tea and join us for our Winter Virtual Lilith Salon. This is the perfect opportunity for those who have wanted to participate in a Lilith Salon but don’t have a local group. Thank you to Gail Spivack for facilitating this event.

Chai Mitzvah Grandparents Program Kick-Off

April 13th @ 8pm ET | 5pm PT
WRJ is excited to announce our partner Chai Mitzvah’s newest fun-filled, text-based Jewish Grandparents and Beyond program. In this kick-off event, we will host Chai Mitzvah staff, Nina Fondiller Woldin and Audrey Lichter to tell us more about this new program and answer any questions.
Hebrew Reading Crash Course
Level 2

Classes start April 14th or April 15th
Wednesdays @ 6:30pm ET | 3:30pm PT or Thursdays @ 12pm ET | 9am PT
Join Pamela Feldman-Hill for a 5-week Zoom class for students who can read basic Hebrew. Using familiar prayers such as Ein Keloheynu, the Shabbat blessings, Sh’ma and V’ahavta, and the Torah blessings, she will teach common prayer vocabulary and phrases and the building blocks of Hebrew grammar. This class is in partnership with the National Jewish Outreach Project and made possible by a generous grant from the National Center to Encourage Judaism (NCEJ).
Film, Fiction, and Fine Wine Presents: A Conversation with Jake Cohen, author of Jew-ish: Reinvented Recipes from a Modern Mensch

April 20th @ 8pm ET | 5pm PT
Join us for a discussion with food writer and chef Jake Cohen, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. His debut cookbook, Jew-ish is a brilliant collection of delicious recipes and a celebration of our rich and vibrant history.

Jake had a recipe published in the latest Food & Wine Magazine for Coconut Macaroon Brownies for Passover. Check it out!
Jewish Rituals and Lifestyle Traditions: A Reform Jewish Perspective

April 26th and May 3rd
@ 7:30pm ET | 4:30pm PT

Join WRJ for a two-part program series to learn more about Jewish traditions in the Reform Movement! From celebrating holidays and holydays to experiencing Jewish life cycle events we invite you to share questions and “I always wondered about...” type thinking! Virtual Israel Tour: “My Heart is in the East: Libi B’Mizrach”

April 26th - April 29th @ 12pm ET | 9am PT
Join us for our next virtual Tour of Israel with WRJ Tour Guide Shari Robins! During this trip, Shari will teach us about aliyah (immigration) from different countries, and how these olim (immigrants) have impacted Israeli society.
