We are happy to announce the details of our first ever Human Library! The aim of the Human Library is to foster conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices. During the event, customers will have the opportunity to check out human "books" to read through one-on-one 20-minute conversations. Our books include: Conservative, Disabled, Muslim, Police Officer, Refugee, Transgender, and more... Reservations and walk-ins welcome.
We revealed the winners of our Bookdrop Art Contest! 7 year old, Kai's art is on the bookdrop at Fair Oaks Branch Library. Nikhitha, 15, designed the art for the large bookdrop at Downtown Library (shown above), and our adult winner Christine, created the art on the small bookdrop at Downtown.
Many thanks to the artists of Redwood City that contributed to the contest. So much talent and work went into each and every contest submission. We are honored to display this talent on our bookdrops! Come see the art in person.
