Work Shops

We are looking for Teens who would like to share their ideas and dreams for their own future

We are excited to offer a zoom meetings on Transition for young adults (14-21 years old). The ZOOM workshops will focus on discussing young adult vocational goals. Sessions explore various paths to take after high school, including college, trade school, job/career opportunities, volunteerism, and self-employment, and how to achieve these goals.

THOUGHTS TO PONDER

Remember that you and the teacher and school are not opponents. You are striving for the same goal: the child's success. Treat those involved as you would like to be treated, as someone who has something valuable to contribute to your child's education. Try to respond, not react. Keep in mind that everyone hears things differently. Reword requests if you feel you are not heard. We know that there are problems, but starting off with guns drawn do not help build the relationship you need to have with the school.
