Jessica Bona-Mensah

My name is Jessica Bona-Mensah. I am twenty-five years old I have recently completed my Bachelor of Social Work. I am excited to pursue a career in Social Work as I have always had a passion for advocacy and social justice. Despite the pandemic, I was afforded several opportunities to evoke systemic within the University of Windsor and the Windsor/Essex community. I am a co-chair on the Anti-Black Racism Taskforce. The purpose of the taskforce is to address the overt racism and micro aggressions that Black students at the UofW experience. I am hopeful that the University of Windsor will implement and ensure the safety and wellbeing of its Black students. In the future, my desire is to continue advocating for voices that are often unheard.

Fun fact: I love watching old Disney shows and movies
