Quick Links Provider Handbook Webinar Schedule Network-Specific Info Beacon Lens Blog CMS: New Medicare Cards Issued Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI) cards have been mailed to most Medicare eligible members. If you have patients under Original (fee-for-service) Medicare, ask them for their new cards so you can begin using the new MBI on claim submissions. Medicare Advantage and Part D Prescription Drug plans continue to assign and use their own identifiers on their health insurance cards. For patients in these plans, continue to ask for and use the plans’ health insurance cards.
