Director and Administrative Assistant's Comments

We've had such a fantastic summer so far! We've been so busy, and couldn't be happier about that. Berlin is full of more and more people every day!

We've had our Jazz and Blues Bash, 30th Anniversary Celebration, and Berlin Bathtub Races already in two months! All our events this summer have been huge successes, with great attendance and amazing energy. Our volunteers and sponsors have been outstanding and we are so grateful for the ongoing support. Next up-- FIDDLER'S! It's about two months away, September 23-25, but we're already hard at work planning and making sure it goes as well as all our other events have so far this summer. We have a great line up this year-- Charm City Junction and Audie Blaylock. We're going to have more fun and food than ever this year, you won't want to miss it. If you're interested in volunteering, or being a sponsor, contact us here.

Membership is up and better than ever, we are working on our Annual Directory, and our new window clings have arrived! If you have not renewed or signed up for membership, you cannot be included in the Directory for 2016. Please make sure to renew! You don't want to miss an opportunity to advertise and promote your business in a comprehensive Directory for the Berlin Area, especially with Summer in full swing! The Directory will be available at locations around the area, including Visitor's Centers! Applications for membership can be done  here , or visit the Chamber office Monday, Tuesday or Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also download a paper application here.

We are very excited for all the fun this Summer is going to bring-- we hope you'll join us!

Cheers!

A Look Back at the Summer So Far:

Jazz and Blues Bash
Thanks to our Sponsors:

AND THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!!!
We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather for this year's Jazz and Blues Bash. The bands were fantastic, the energy was great, and streets were filled with people enjoying themselves and taking in what it means to be in Berlin.

30th Anniversary Celebration
We held our 30th Anniversary Celebration right here at the Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Center on Main Street on June 16. The day started out rainy, but cleared up just in time! So many people came out to celebrate with us and we want to extend our gratitude to all that came and shared our happiness. Thank you so much to the businesses that donated items to our festivities, it just proves that Berlin is truly all one family. Thank you also to Bad Since Breakfast, who provided the evening's entertainment. We received commendations from the Town of Berlin, Delegate Mary Beth Carozza and Senator Jim Mathias! Thirty years strong and counting, here's to another 30!

27th Annual Bathtub Races
Thank you to our sponsors:

THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Well it certainly was a hot one! But we couldn't have asked for a better turnout, more helpful volunteers, such great sponsors, such good sports! Everything came together seamlessly that day, and we heard people saying it was the best Bathtub Races ever! We raised over 600 dollars for the Chamber, and gave away 600 in the 50/50 Rubber Duck Raffle! Congratulations to everyone who competed, we'll see you next year.

Want to be part of our events for the year? We need Volunteers! Sign up on our website, or click here!

We want to you to rejoin the Chamber for 2016!

Why be a Chamber member? Our administration now has a grounded foundation, as we have been here for six months and now are ready to pursue the New Year with knowledge, enthusiasm, and experience. Some of the benefits you would get to enjoy as a member are great opportunities for advertisement and promotion during events such as the Spring Celebration, Jazz and Blues Festival, Bathtub Races, Fiddler's Convention, Fall Cruisers, as well as Business After Hours and Learning Seminars. While the Chamber is already a great networking tool for expanding your business and clientele, these events would be a gathering of members not only in our Chamber, but Chambers around the area, and an opportunity to collaborate on the expansion and diversification of their businesses. We are also working to create new fun inventive local social events that, through sponsorship, your business could gain a larger following from. This year we will also be creating a Membership Directory booklet, with the opportunity for businesses to buy placed advertisements so they will really stand out!
We also promote local business members through social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Constant Contact e-blasts, advertising on our website and our new campaign with Instagram. Along with the efforts of the Chamber Administration, each business within the Chamber supports the advertisement and promotion of its fellow members. We strive to make sure that each member gets the individual attention they deserve and to enhance their profitability by any means that we can.
Your business is already a huge success, and we'd love to help you achieve the apex of what you're capable. You have our full support should you need it, and if you have any questions or concerns please call or email at any time. Membership is $125.00 for a business of less than 5 employees, $145.00 for a business of 5 employees or more, and $95.00 for non-profit organizations.  If your business doesn't fall into these guidelines, please let us know. Thank you so much for becoming a part of our wonderful community, and we look forward to working with you as soon as possible.
