The “Mental Health Wellness for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (MHW-IDD)” e-learning training series teaches about integrated approaches for working with people who have IDD and co-occurring behavioral health needs.

Each module is designed to help you become skilled in recognizing the “whole person” and to gain a better understanding of different factors influencing the way people with IDD think, feel and behave. Content emphasizes mental wellness, trauma informed care, an interdisciplinary team approach, positive supports, and prevention.

Texas Health and Human Services is sharing this training, which is open to any providers across the country who work with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
