POLICY & ADVOCACY IN ACTION: SUPPORTING OUR BUSINESS COMMUNITY

Over the past month, we’ve been actively engaging with policymakers to address key issues affecting Revelstoke businesses. We met twice with Minister Boissonnault's office, Federal Minister of Employment, Workforce Development, and Official Languages, to discuss the impacts and challenges arising from recent changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW LMIA) program. We also connected with MP Mel Arnold to discuss the Housing Accelerator Fund, TFW LMIA, federal business taxes, and other critical topics.

Additionally, we participated in the National Chamber of Commerce policy resolution debates. We’ll have the official policy manual ready to share with our members at Coffee Connections next week, where we’ll be gathering input on the top 10 policy issues that matter most to our members. These priorities will be shared with our MP and other elected officials to ensure Revelstoke’s business community has a strong voice.
