Dog for Sale

A guy spots a sign outside a house that reads TALKING DOG FOR SALE. Intrigued, he inquires inside.

"So what have you done with your life?" he asks the dog.

"I've led a very full life," says the dog.

"I lived in the Alps rescuing avalanche victims. Then I served my country in Iraq. And now I spend my days reading to the residents of a retirement home."

The guy is flabbergasted. He asks the dog's owner, "Why on earth would you want to get rid of an incredible dog like that?"

The owner says, "Because he's a liar! He never did any of that!"

greenBest Way to Avoid Hospital Readmission

Nearly 20 percent of Medicare patients discharged from a hospital are readmitted within 30 days. If you or an aging loved one has recently been admitted to the hospital, preventing readmission should be a top priority. One strategy incorporates all the best practices...it's called a care plan, and it's very effective.

angelsAngels Who Soar: Celebrating Our Hardworking Employees

We are so proud of our wonderful, hard-working employees who go beyond the call of duty. Below is why our Angels are so special...

Shushana F. is one of those angels who quietly and effectively goes about her job without a lot of people taking notice...that's only because Shushana works overnight shifts. Sushana is a bright star on those dark nights, quietly but efficiently caring for our clients and keeping them comfortable. Shushana rarely calls out and has an outstanding record with Visiting Angels.

Abena B. is one of our live-in caregiver employees who has gone above and beyond for our clients. She truly cares about our clients; she makes sure they have a clean, comfortable, and safe environment, makes sure they are on time to doctor appointments, and provides for their wants and needs. She has been described as kind, patient, and well-mannered representative of Visiting Angels.

We are grateful for you and thank you for your hard work, Shushana and Abena!

AboutOurCareAbout Our Care

Visiting Angels is a New Jersey-licensed, non-medical home care company committed to going beyond the "industry standard" to provide an exceptional level of security, comfort and peace of mind to our clients and their families. Our "Angels", all certified home health professionals , are ready to provide assistance with the activities of daily living to seniors, the disabled, those recovering from surgery, and to those who are simply frail. Our services include tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and shopping, to more personal tasks such as hygiene assistance, bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Visiting Angels ' in-home care helps make it possible for seniors and other adults to continue living at home safely. We understand how challenging the home care selection process can be. We're experienced in working with families, with loved ones resistant to receiving care, and with third-parties payors (such as insurance companies and the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs).

Visiting Angels' services help families spend more mutually-rewarding and meaningful time with their loved ones and also helps provide comfort and peace of mind to those who face the challenges of long-distance caregiving.
