For all you cooks out there, what is a dessert you love to bake at this time of year?

Please share your recipe with us by emailing it to susanjwh@gmail.com by Sept. 22 so that we can use them to create a special dessert event for our members! (and we are sure some of you bake with more than just pumpkin....right?)

News from our Board

Your SCC Board members continue to meet each month to renew our mission statement and to review our next year's programs, grants and how to help people "age in place." We are grateful that our current board members have agreed to serve another year starting on Oct. 1. Our new laws state that we can have up to 12 members on our Board. And guess what? We have room for more! If you or anyone you know would be interested in serving on our Board for the upcoming year, we sure would appreciate hearing from you.

Please call us at 980-689-1843, leave your name and best contact information and we will be happy to talk to you.

"Aging is not ‘lost youth’ but a new stage of opportunity and strength.” -B. Friedan
