Give a Gift

"At the heart of each of us, whatever our imperfections, there exists a silent pulse of perfect rhythm, made up of wave forms and resonances, which is absolutely individual and unique, and yet which connects us to everything in the universe."

WELCOME

Greetings from Pam Kramer, ITPI President

The powers of body, mind, heart and soul, when balanced and integrated, awaken us to infinite possibilities for greater life. These "windows" to our being each offer up a voice. What is calling to you from these integral aspects of your whole being? How can you engage in your practice with an intentional, integral approach?

This second issue of our 2022 quarterly newsletter centers on this theme of body, mind, heart and soul connection for transformation. ITP co-founders George Leonard and Michael Murphy were guided by the integral from the very beginning and write in The Life We Are Given:

"...we stressed the importance not only of balance within each of the four aspects of our practice--body, mind, heart and soul--but also among the four. We believe that these four aspects represent different manifestations of a single and fundamental identity that is unique to each individual..."

In the articles and videos below, we share inspiration and resources for experiencing the integral in your daily practice. The power in this practice is that we don't leave any part of ourselves behind. As we move through these summer months ahead, we hope you will find your own potential blossoming in beautiful ways.

Thank you for your presence in our ITP global community and for the gifts you give to yourself and the world.

Blessings of peace, beauty and love,

Pam Kramer

ITPI President

PS Just returned from co-leading a workshop at beautiful Esalen Institute where 39 of us were gathered in The Leonard Pavilion, named in George's honor. His spirit is alive and well at Esalen and in our ITP community. Sharing a photo taken from there for you to enjoy - YeHo!

Small Kindnesses

I've been thinking about the way, when you walk

down a crowded aisle, people pull in their legs

to let you by. Or how strangers still say "bless you"

when someone sneezes, a leftover

from the Bubonic plague. "Don't die," we are saying.

And sometimes, when you spill lemons

from your grocery bag, someone else will help you

pick them up. Mostly, we don't want to harm each other.

We want to be handed our cup of coffee hot,

and to say thank you to the person handing it. To smile

at them and for them to smile back. For the waitress

to call us honey when she sets down the bowl of clam chowder,

and for the driver in the red pick-up truck to let us pass.

We have so little of each other, now. So far

from tribe and fire. Only these brief moments of exchange.

What if they are the true dwelling of the holy, these

fleeting temples we make together when we say, "Here,

have my seat," "Go ahead—you first," "I like your hat."

Creating a clear vision for transformation empowers our integral evolution. In this video presentation, ITP Mastery Teacher, Kim Lee invites us to make visioning a regular part of our practice, rather than an annual consideration, for even greater impact on our integral unfolding.
