Greetings from Pam

Dear ITP,

Springtime in the Northern Hemisphere brings great delight as we witness new growth and the beauty of the season. How is your integral being responding at this time wherever you are on the planet? What growth are you nurturing and, perhaps, noticing occur for you? How are you celebrating your blossoming?

In our Spring issue, we unpack and explore the practice of GRACE. A simple personal exercise with profound outcomes! That's what I experience from my practice of GRACE, a reconnection to my whole being, a steadiness inside and out and inspiration to explore what's next. How does this practice support you in your life?

We are grateful to our contributors for their wisdom as they share their experience of each facet of the practice, revealing insights for our wholeness and well being. Enjoy reading, experiencing and shaping GRACE to suit you in your life. Thank you, Annie Leonard, for crafting this essential ITP practice for all of us to experience!

Keep growing and evolving your practice and sharing yourself generously with our precious world. Thank you for your presence in our ITP community.

Blessings of peace, love, and hope,

Pam Kramer

GRACE: It's More than an Acronym

Christina Grote, author, ITPI Board member

The practice of GRACE is the opening move of the ITP Kata: Ground, Relax, Aware, Center and Energize. These steps can be called into action any time we need to come into the present moment. Beyond the acronym, grace is a powerful energy, a transmission of divine love or a higher consciousness that is freely given, often unexpectedly, received but not directly earned. ITPI board member and co-author of Living an Extraordinary Life Christina Grote talks about how ITP practices open us up to grace.

AWARE: Lessons for the Athlete

Matthew Steinbach, ITPI member

ITP practitioner Matthew Steinbach takes what he’s gleaned about awareness for the Kata and endeavors to pass it on to his students of golf. He sees awareness in three dimensions: the inner self, the outer self, and the loss of self in the time-space continuum. “I have the honor and privilege to coach high performance student-athletes in a crucial/transitional time in their lives and while the journey begins with the game of golf, through an integral model focused on building awareness, I hope to guide them to a greater purpose in life’s journey.”
