Hello!

See our Stars in the LA Times
Our Star Walkers are an incredible group of people! They worked tirelessly for eight weeks to raise $1,000 or more for the vital Care, Support and Education programs at APLA Health. Because they’re so amazing, we want to let all of Los Angeles know about their hard work. Check out the LA Times print or eNewspaper on Thursday, September 17 to see our list of Star Walkers in living color.
Have you submitted all of your company’s matches yet for #AWLA2020?
Final Rankings are coming shortly, and we want to make sure all of your donations are counted! Does your company have a Matching Gift program? It might! Many companies support the philanthropic efforts of their employees, and sometimes those matching grants will make you a Star Walker! If you’re not sure if your company has a matching program, contact your human resources or finance departments to find out. Let us know by this week so we can ensure you’re acknowledged for all your hard work. Not sure how to submit these? Contact your AIDS Walk staff representative, call us at (213) 201-9255, or simply reply to this email.
Thank you for being part of our community
This year we’ve raised an incredible amount through the tireless work of our Walkers. Each year people from around Los Angeles come together to work to end the HIV and AIDS epidemic. This year our theme was “Get with the Programs,” and it allowed for individuals to understand how their fundraising directly provides important services for our community. Since COVID-19 forced large-scale events to be canceled, the fact that AIDS Walk Los Angeles was able to raise more than $950,000 — shattering our goals twice — is a testament to the passion and commitment of our fundraisers and sponsors, who show up year after year to raise funds and keep talking about the HIV and AIDS epidemic.

Thank you again for everything you do!
Your friendly neighborhood AIDS Walk staff
